John Alden Stevens

Mr. Stevens was born in January of 1931 in Skowhegan, the youngest child of Lester and Alice Getchell Stevens.  He was brought up in Cornville and graduated from Skowhegan High School.

In 1960 he married Hilma Peary. Together they moved to Embden where they raised their family of five children:  Robert, Lester, Penny, Lisa and Lori.  Hilma died in 1989.  Alden continues to reside in Embden.

Mr. Stevens worked at the Snowflake Factory, Stapleford's mill, Foss Building, and for Frank Bedard.  He is an active fisherman, who shared his catch with his elderly friends.
